New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services Community Well Siting Forms
The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) has developed a set of administrative rules for community water systems that develop a water source: Env-Dw 305 for small community water systems and Env-Dw 302 large community water systems. These rules apply to the follow situations:
-
Siting a new well at a new or existing community water system.
-
Reactivating an existing well that is inactive at a community water system.
-
Deepening or hydrofracturing an existing active well at a community water system.
The purpose of the rules is to ensure that a small community water system will be able to provide water from its well(s) to meet its demands and that water will be able to meet established water quality standards. These forms are provided to help applicants meet the rule requirements.
