New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services - Wetlands Emergency Authorizations
Public agencies and private property owners can request authorization to act on an emergency basis in a jurisdictional area prior to filing an application, in order to address a threat to public safety, public health, or if significant damage to public infrastructure or private property is imminent as a result of an event beyond the control of the public agency or property owner, such as a natural disaster. Such emergency actions are subject to the requirements of Administrative Rule Env-Wt 315.
ATTENTION: NHDES strongly encourages those seeking Emergency Authorizations to call the Wetlands Bureau directly at (603) 271-2147 prior to filing this Emergency Authorization Form to assess eligibility and provide guidance through the process.
Please see the Obtaining Authorization for Emergency Wetlands Impacts Factsheet for more information.
